CB&L Welcomes New Director!

At the April 2017 Board of Directors meeting, Tom Swip was appointed to the Board of Directors for Collinsville Building and Loan Association. Mr. Swip graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering. Prior to establishing Swip Systems, Mr. Swip worked for United Parcel Service and was responsible for establishing the first ever nationwide implementation of package barcoding, the first nationwide implementation of the tablets that UPS drivers still carry today and the first nationwide wireless network in UPS trucks. In 1995, Tom established Swip Systems, an international information technology consultancy, where he is currently President/CEO.  Swip Systems specializes in custom web and mobile app development, business process automation, ERP selection and Cloud computing.

 In 2012, Mr. Swip founded the Midwest Manufacturing Leaders, an organization with a mission of bringing manufacturing back to the Midwest and strengthening the Midwest economy.  The organization has grown to over 6000 members nationwide. He is a member of the Entrepreneur’s Organization, an international group of business owners, The Entrepreneurship Institute, a nonprofit that helps companies grow and the Association for Corporate Growth, a national group of leaders in mid-market business activities. Mr. Swip is also a certified ISO/QS 9000 international quality standards consultant.
